Two worthy regional causes have been given a community cash boost from a national housebuilder.
Made in Corby and NARA the Breathing Charity are the latest groups to receive donations as part of the Persimmon Homes Midlands Community Champions scheme.
The national match-funding initiative aims to support local groups and charities working to improve the quality of life or environment for local people.
Janet Robinson, sales manager for Persimmon Homes Midlands, said: “The Community Champions programme was set up to help groups and charities that make a real difference to the lives of local people.
“Both of these excellent organisations provide vital roles in their communities, therefore we are delighted to support their endeavours.”
Made in Corby is an arts organisation which works to increase opportunities for Coby’s communities to see, experience, create and take part in high quality arts and cultural activities.
The £1,000 windfall from Persimmon Homes will help towards the organisation’s open community workshops for families during the half-term holiday.

The Community Champions donation from Persimmon Homes will help NARA’s Northamptonshire Community Care Programme, which provides medical equipment and a support package for patients struggling with respiratory illnesses throughout Northamptonshire.
