Flittabus goes that extra yard in getting passengers around Mid Beds

An extraordinary bus service that goes a little bit further for its passengers needs new volunteers.

Flittabus is an alternative bus service covering routes in Central Beds around Ampthill and Flitwick, but now needs extra drivers to help meet the demand of its passengers.

The bus service, which is run entirely by volunteers, is open to people of all ages and offers more than your normal local transport.

Flittabus has been running for almost 20 years and takes people into central Bedford and Milton Keynes.

With two of its own minibuses, the not-for-profit organisation runs scheduled routes five days a week.

People up to the age of 70 only need a normal driving licence to drive the buses and normally volunteer on one or two agreed half days a month.

Anyone who is interested in becoming a volunteer bus driver can contact Mr Thorp on 01525 861449. For more information on Flittabus's services call 01525 406561
